Features

Major Components

The base is the Intel Processor N100. A 4-core/4-thread low-power CPU (Alder Lake-N), sufficient for general office work and browsing. Retail specs list max 3.4GHz / 6MB cache (CPU TDP 6W stated in official FAQ). Its strength lies in running quietly even in an ultra-compact chassis.

Graphics are handled by the integrated Intel UHD Graphics. The official FAQ states two HDMI 2.1 TMDS ports support 4K60, and the front USB-C also supports 4K60 output, allowing for up to 3 simultaneous displays. This effectively boosts desk work productivity.

Memory and Storage

The shipping configuration is 16GB DDR4-3200 + 256/512GB SSD. Retail descriptions indicate M.2 2280 (some say SATA), and SSDs are upgradeable up to 2TB. It also features a 2.5-inch SATA (7mm) slot and a TF (microSD) card slot, making it expandable and easy to use for photo archiving and media storage.

Note: M.2 NVMe/SATA compatibility varies by retailer, so please check the specs for each SKU at purchase.

GenAI Performance

The N100 in the UN100P does not have a dedicated NPU. Local GenAI using only the CPU/iGPU is realistic only for lightweight models or low-load inference. For image generation or running large LLMs locally, it's safer to stick to cloud usage or testing small, quantized models. Regarding video decoding, some retailers list AV1 hardware decode support, giving it an edge for streaming playback.

Others (Network / Ports / Power / Cooling, etc.)

  • Network: 2.5GbE (RJ45) + Wi-Fi 6 (Intel AX101, BT 5.2). The AX101 is a 1x1 Wi-Fi 6 module (max 600Mbps class), sufficient for daily wireless needs. 2.5GbE boasts 2.5x the theoretical bandwidth of 1GbE.
  • I/O & Video: Front features USB-A x2 (3.2 Gen1 equiv.), USB-C x1 (DP Alt + PD 15W, audio transmission capable), 3.5mm jack. Rear has HDMI 2.1 TMDS x2 (4K60), USB-A x2 (3.2 Gen2), 2.5GbE, DC-IN.
  • Power / Noise: 12V/36W adapter, with noise estimated at 32–37dB in the official FAQ. Easy to handle in quiet environments.
  • Size / Weight: 5.02×4.43×1.57inch / 0.77lb (Official FAQ). Millimeter values in the text are converted for reference.
  • Certification: Domestic reviews show photos of PSE and Giteki marks on the bottom (for units sold in Japan). Please verify the seller and model number when purchasing.

Competitor Note: Beelink and GEEKOM N100/N150 machines are comparable. The UN100P's strength is its 2.5GbE + dual HDMI + front USB-C/DP/PD connectivity.

Exterior (I/O Layout, Size, Installation)

The front houses USB-A x2, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio. Frequently used ports are gathered on the front, making plugging in USB drives or headsets stress-free. The rear has HDMI x2, 2.5GbE, USB-A x2, and DC-IN. All cabling can be routed to the back, keeping things tidy even when mounted on a display via VESA mount.

Summary

The UN100P is an entry-level mini PC that shines with its "just right" balance of low power x compact x 3-screen support. It suits web/Office work, video streaming, light programming, and home server/networking uses (2.5GbE). While not fit for heavy 3D gaming or large-scale local GenAI models, its generous I/O like PD-capable USB-C and dual HDMI, along with dual storage expandability, are likely the deciding factors.
